Estate Attorneys

Aurora’s data collection process and organizational standards are a perfect complement to the highly detailed science of Estate Planning. When client concerns and data analysis indicate the need for any degree of estate planning, Aurora provides concise, accurate and relevant information to the estate attorney, whether it is the client’s existing legal relationship or a referral of Aurora’s. We call this “pre-legal” estate planning. Further, we will attend all client/lawyer meetings in the service of our client and will functionally review all proposed documents for accuracy of intent and completeness. This includes wills, health care directives, powers of attorney and special needs considerations.

More complex estate work, typically that involving trusts, family limited partnerships or family foundations, allows Aurora to also bring its extensive educational and analytical capabilities into play. We maintain a periodic review calendar to ensure that estate plans are kept current and our ongoing financial management allows Aurora to better coordinate the interrelationship between a family’s active financial situation and its future-oriented estate strategies. Additionally, Aurora provides in-depth financial counsel for the creation and management of unique or special-needs situations.

Under certain circumstances, and only by special arrangement, Aurora will assume some fiduciary services.
